Fabián Cáceres Pérez
ViolinBorn in Chile in 1996, Fabián Cáceres Pérez is currently pursuing a second master's degree in musical performance, orchestra orientation, at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU), in Virginie Robilliard's class. He previously obtained a first master's degree in musical performance, concert orientation there.
At the same time, he participated in the Concertmaster Artist Programme (2024–2025) at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona, where he worked with internationally renowned artists.
Fabián Cáceres Pérez holds a bachelor's degree in musical performance from the Escuela Moderna de Música in Santiago, Chile, where he studied with Jorge Marambio and Alberto Dourthé.
Between 2014 and 2025, he was a member of the National Symphony Orchestra of Chile, which he joined at the age of eighteen. Since 2015, he held the position of assistant concertmaster there, notably leading major works such as Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, as well as several symphonies by Shostakovich and Brahms.
He has also collaborated with the Sinfonietta de Lausanne and performed as a soloist with leading Chilean ensembles.
Fabián has participated in masterclasses given by eminent violinists such as Alexander Markov, Simon Bernardini, Jean-Jacques Kantorow, and Yuzuko Horigome, among others.
In 2021, he was a semi-finalist in the Dr. Luis Sigall International Competition, the most prestigious musical performance competition in his country.
