Julien Fornerod
CelloBorn in February 2005, Julien began playing the cello in Marc Jaermann's class at the Conservatory of Lausanne, his hometown.
In 2021, he was admitted to the special classes for musicians at the Auguste Piccard Gymnasium. In 2022, he obtained his final cello study certificate, then, that same year, was admitted to the pre-professional program at the Lausanne Conservatory.
Julien performs regularly with various orchestras such as the Orchestre des jeunes de la Suisse romande (under the direction of the Sine Nomine Quartet), the Orchestre Symphonique en Vogue, and the Swiss National Youth Symphony Orchestra. He is also very involved in chamber music and has had the opportunity to work with Hans Egidi (Sine Nomine Quartet), Vincent Coq (Trio Wanderer), and Sigiswald Kuijken.
Since 2023, he has been studying in the Bachelor's program at the Haute école de Musique de Lausanne in Patrick Demenga's class.
